Mrs. Nicki Nelsen

My name is Nicki Nelsen. I graduated from Dowling Catholic in 2001 and from what is now Grand View University in 2005 with a degree in elementary education. I also have endorsements in K-6 Reading, K-6 Language Arts, and an Early Childhood endorsement.

In the years that I have been at Christ the King, I have participated in professional development in the areas of reading, math, and differentiated instruction to learn new strategies to use in the classroom.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, going to movies, camping, hiking, and reading.

I chose to teach in the Catholic schools because I have never thought of teaching anywhere else. I feel that it is very important to be able to share my faith experiences with my students and to be able to use our faith to shape the lives of young people.
