Did you know that Christ the King School is known as one of the Mercy schools in the Des Moines Metro? To reflect this, each month, one grade level completes a service project corresponding to a Corporal Work of Mercy. By the end of the year, our school has served our community through every Corporal Work of Mercy! 

Service projects consist of the following:

• Education:  A brief synopsis of the Work of Mercy of the month and how it is applied to the service project.
• Prayer:  A brief prayer dedicated to the highlighted Work of Mercy to be shared.
• Service:  The class will identify their service, create fliers, and it will be posted on the Bulletin Board, School Website, Class Dojo, Church Bulletin and Social Media.

An out of uniform day will be held once a month (typically the last Friday of the month that school is in session).  A $1 donation is required to be out of uniform on the designated day.  100% of the proceeds from the Work of Mercy Out of Uniform days are donated to an agency that serves individuals affected by the Work of Mercy of the month.
