Jump Rope for Heart has officially begun here at Christ the King. Each of the students has received a JRFH information packet explaining what the program is, how your student can participate and the prizes that they can earn.
In addition to the individual prizes that students earn for the amount of donations they collect, we have also decided to add extra challenge rewards for total donations raised as a school. These challenge rewards will occur during an assembly on March 2nd except for the all-day rewards will happen throughout the day.
The challenge rewards are as follows:
Fundraising Challenge Rewards
Mr. Samuelson eats a bug $500
Mr. Samuelson or Mr. Geilenfeld rides a tricycle everywhere for a day $750
Mr. S. or Mr. G. dyes their hair red for the day and/or sports a mohawk$1000
Mr. S., Mr. G., or both, gets covered in chocolate sauce and feathers$1500
Mr. S. or Mr. G. gets their head or beard shaved by the top fundraising student$2000
Father McManus will ALSO get his head shaved by the top fundraising student $3000
Classroom Challenge Rewards
Any student that raises $25 gets to write their name on the t-shirt that Mr. S., and possibly Mr. G. will wear on the day of the event.
Special Athlete Visit
Students that raise $50 or more will get to eat lunch and have a special recess/gym game with some high school athletes (pending student availability at Dowling)
The class or house that raises the most dollars get an extra PE day with an activity of their choosing.
Dress like the PE teacher
The class that raises the most dollars can also dress like the PE teacher for the day (i.e. very, comfortable clothing).
The top fundraising class will also be recognized. And the student that collects the most donations will also be awarded a JRFH medal during the assembly.
Let’s do our best as a school to reach our top goal of $3,000 (and beyond)!
