The School Counselor at Christ the King plays a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. The counselor will work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to promote a positive school environment and help students navigate their educational journey. Key Responsibilities:
Counseling Services: Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with academic, social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
Crisis Intervention: Respond to student crises and provide appropriate interventions, support, and referrals to external resources when necessary.
Parent Collaboration: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and facilitate parent workshops.
School Programs: Develop and implement school-wide programs and initiatives that promote mental health awareness, social-emotional learning, and conflict resolution.
Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a safe and supportive school environment conducive to learning.
Professional Development: Stay updated with best practices in school counseling, mental health resources, and relevant educational laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in School Counseling or a related field.
Valid state certification or licensure as a school counselor, or ability to obtain a Class B License.
Strong understanding of child development, mental health, and effective counseling techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
Christ the King School is hiring a part-time bus driver. Hours are from 5:30 am - 8:00 am and 2:45 pm - 5:00 pm. Daytime field trips are also needed.

Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness.
Student Assistance:

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Experience working with children, especially in an educational setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning.
Working Conditions:
This position typically requires working in a classroom environment, with occasional outdoor activities. The role may involve standing for long periods and lifting or moving educational materials.
