Advanced Band will practice on Wednesday mornings before school from 7:30 am - 8:00 am beginning August 30, 2023.
Beginning Band will practice on Friday mornings before school from 7:30 am - 8:00 am beginning October,  20, 2023

Band Schedule 

Music Fees:

$50 yearly Activity fee due at the beginning of the year to cover traveling and equipment updating.
$50 monthly fee for normal lessons (20 minutes a week during school hours)

Guitar Class:

3rd and 4th Graders will have the opportunity to take a guitar class on Fridays during recess as an introduction to band.  It will be $50 per month for this class in addition to a registraion fee added to tuition.

Piano Lessons:

Piano lessons are offered to all students 2nd grade and above during the school year.  These lesson times are limited and will most likely be before school.  It will be a $50 registration fee and a $50 per month added to the tuition.

5th Grade Beginning Band:

Beginning band lessons will begin the first full week fo school.  The beginning band will not rehears as a full band until the third week of October in the mornings.  If you r child hasn't been tested on an instrument, or needs help finding a suitable instrument to borrow, please contact Mr. Kolbo.  In middle school, playing in the band is essential to the music curriculum at CKS, so starting in 5th grade will give your child a tremendous advantage.
